I can see from that log that the test did not collect CC from my environment, but rather used 'gcc'. In this scenario, I am using the compiler /usr/bin/clang, and there's also CXX = /usr/bin/clang++ Attached is that config.log you asked for, and I got the skips down to 57 once I found myself a copy of cscope lol.
