No. xbrlapi is just a client. It's brltty which cretes /var/lib/BrlAPI/0 > Maybe I should use the --auth option, but with what argument? No, even if there is no braille device yet, the socket should be getting created. There the problem really lies in brltty itself, not any other kind of configuration. Configuration might matter later, but until /var/lib/BrlAPI/0 gets created it's completely useless to have a look at it. So we really need to see the brltty log.
