They certainly don't make it easy, but I found a manual describing a Focus 40 with a micro USB port (the 5th gen has a USB C port) and it makes no mention of NavRow keys, so my guess would be they weren't present on the 4th generation. The original Blue with the NavRow keys had a mini-USB type B, so we're definitely looking at an intermediate revision.
