Hi

Are we talking the same thing?
The webpage anounce its charset = big5.
But brltty can only read utf-8.
Has any solution for this problem?
Thank you!

I'm thinking that the problem is not in browser but in brltty.

With vcsu, brltty only takes unicode codepoints from the kernel, it does
not have anything to do with how they are determined.

I've set the screen-parameters to lx:Charset=big5+utf-8
but still not to read big5 pages correctly.

With vcsu, the Charset parameter shouldn't matter, actually.

For lynx, what command-line options should I use?

See the manpage:

   -assume_charset=MIMEname
charset for documents that do not specify it.
