Sherry,
Yes you can download Keysoft 5.1 to your PC, transfer the download to a
compact flash card, and install Keysoft 5.1 on your Braillenote from the
compact flash card. First, Go to the SDK site using your PC browser, log
on, select 5.1, and then click the Download button. Next, Stay on the SDK
web site after the download completes. Click on the Release Notes Part 1
link and the Release Notes Part 2 link, for installation instructions.
There is a section here on installing Keysoft from a compact flash card.
And last but not least, transfer the Keysoft Version 5.1 file from your PC
to the compact flash card. You are now ready to install Keysoft Version 5.1
to your Braillenote from the compact flash card.

Because the planner is dramatically improved in Keysoft Version 5.1, it is
definitely worth it to upgrade your Braillenote to Keysoft Version 5.1. PDI
has made Keysoft 5.1 available free of charge to customers having Keysoft
Version 5.0.

If you encounter any problems, let me know.

Sincerely,
Jerry Weinger

And a further question on this topic ...

I didn't know there was a version 5.1, till I joined this list. I have
version 5.0. Can I download this to my PC, transfer it to a flash memory
card and install it? If so, I can't remember the process from when I
installed 5.0. I don't use the BN on the internet, since I have DSL, and my
PC is very fast, so I wouldn't be installing anything directly from the site
onto the BN.

Also, with the new 6.0 coming soon, is it just as easy to wait for that, or
would it be a good idea to upgrade to 5.1? thanks.

Hello Keao,

the necessary release notes for KeySoft 5.1 which include installation
instructions and KeySoft itself can be downloaded from the following
website:

http://pulsedata.propagation.net/sdw/user/login.aspx

The website requires the first 5 digits of your serial number and frog1 is
the password.

If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.
