Oh, gee, at least mine do appear to be the same. Well, on the bottom of the machine, I appear to have the first six digits, then the entire number appears to be in the machine when I do the space with i. ----- Original Message ----- From: "don cooper" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Contribute Braillenote" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, February 24, 2005 12:16 PM Subject: [Braillenote] serial numbers.
Yes, serial numbers. I have found there is some confusion as to which number one ought to quote when asked for this number. I find that the number on the under-side of my PK, which I had been told was the serial number, was totally different from that quoted in the "information" menu obtained by pressing space with the letter i. On contacting the Firm I was told that the number within the machine was the authentic number. What the other number is: nobody seemed to know. I know it doesn't really matter, providing we all know where to find the correct number. I still consider myself extremely fortunate to have one of these little marvels under my hand.
