Shouldn't the signal trap in diagnostics.cpp:587 catch the SIGSEGV and dump out
a stacktrace per line 624?

Does backtrace_symbols_fd() still work on Linux?

Since it seems likely this is a BOINC problem somewhere, I'm bringing it to
boinc_dev. Is anyone else having problems with clients compiled with 7.0.28
libraries segfaulting when run under the BOINC client in anonymous platform
mode. I wasn't able to recreate it, but I'm using a static build of seti@home.
