I'm at UCB and I didn't know about the transition. That's
understandable because BOINC has been a separate entity for several
years now. I see David once a month, if that.

I do want to apologize to everyone for being as emotional as I was in
my outbursts yesterday. I felt I was being required to expend time
effort and energy at a time when I have none to spare, and I was quite
angry. The developers working with me on astropulse v6 and seti@home
v7 can testify that I have insufficient time even to devote to those
efforts much less learning a new version control system.

As far as whether SETI@home will follow suit, it depends on whether
it's possible to operate using both systems mingled in a single
directory tree or whether one will destroy the other's control files.
And if conversion really is something that takes weeks or months of
effort, I doubt that I'll find that kind of time before retirement.
For now, assume SETI@home will stay under SVN. Jason, we need to
start you off with a clean account and see if that helps. If it
doesn't we'll have to try harder.
