I don't think the client side DCF code has changed much since - according to 
the Unofficial BOINC Wiki - version 4.70, and I don't propose to start 
changing it now - it would take far too long to propagate out to the user 
base.

All I'm asking for is for the 'safety net' on server work allocation that 
used to be in the server code - and is still working well on legacy servers 
like Einstein - to be restored to the current server sources.

If wanted, it could be wrapped up as a configurable option, default off, 
just available for activation if needed by any particular non-deterministic 
project.
