Hi, I've a windows box with a 6.12.34 client for winXP installed. Attached to a BAM, POEM and SAH.
Checking the stdoutdae.txt I see : 03-Oct-2011 11:54:52 [---] General prefs: from http://scv.ing.udec.cl/BAM/(last modified 30-Sep-2011 13:15:19) later... 03-Oct-2011 14:21:42 [---] General prefs: from http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/ (last modified 15-Jun-2004 13:59:03) later... 03-Oct-2011 19:54:56 [---] General prefs: from http://scv.ing.udec.cl/BAM/(last modified 30-Sep-2011 13:15:19) and so on... It seems that the client overwrites the pref with an older version sent by the SAH sched. I'm not sure but, reading the client/cs_prefs.cpp, seems to be that the <mod_time> parameter in the preference sent by the sched isn't considered to overwrite the current global preferences (based on the commentary over the read_global_prefs function).
