Mason, I don't contest any of these things. There are many things you all did
well.
But the point I keep making, and you keep replying as if I wrote something
else, is about review on the REDESIGNED spec. <-- note the adjective here
These were not minor revisions, they were very substantial changes to the
design of the feature that landed in March. My overarching point in this whole
thread is that that level of change needs at least some amount of review
before it's ready to ship...
So responding about how you got lots of feedback on the feature *before* those
revisions landed doesn't address or invalidate that point.
I have been reading your posts very carefully, and spending significant
time writing responses. I’d appreciate you assuming my good faith in these
responses.
I want to! But you keep replying to points I'm not making, and then ignoring
the ones I do.
Like the entire message I'm replying to right now is responding to a point I
didn't make [1], and not responding to the point that I did [2].
[1] being "not getting developer input on the anchor positioning feature" --
not true, as you've demonstrated for everyone here, but also not what I have
ever said
[2] being "not getting wide review or developer input on the redesigned
version of the anchor positioning feature" -- what I'm actually saying
(It also ignores the rest of the mail, but we can let that slide. I think I'd
rather be ignored than misrepresented, although both are frustrating.)
