Hi Alexey
(and greetings to all the other current and future USB stick contributors),

I've noticed a keen interest in booting off an USB stick (10+ posts and
counting)
so maybe my humble experience with the subject could be of help.

REQUIREMENTS (at the time - a year ago):
1.  A Knoppix release (a Debian spin-off).
    Note: As basically a Linux, I suppose some ideas can be
           applied to (B)LFS stick boot.
2.  Syslinux

Clues, details, maybe even pointers can be found in my conversations
with Syslinux folks (pretty sharp guys, I must say):

1. A thread about my bitching about a perceived bug in syslinux:
<http://www.syslinux.org/archives/2013-April/019810.html>

2. An immediately following thread where they concluded that my
perceived bug was a real bug:
<http://www.syslinux.org/archives/2013-April/019819.html>

OPTIONAL DEPENDENCIES:  the Vitruvian Penguin

Good luck,
-- Alex
