I have recently finished another BLFS build. All seemed to go well, until I ran startx. I am using the nvidia driver from nvidia, The driver and kernel module built just fine. X11 and fluxbox start with no issues. The only problem is that all the text is microscopic completely unreadable. Just to make sure I didn't miss something I re-installed xorg-fonts and dejavu.
The issue seems to be only with the text that is handled by X because html and web-brower are readable. My screen is capable of running 1920x1080 with no issues regarding text size. Proven by plugging my lfs/blfs laptop into the monitor. Below is the ouptut cut and pasted from xterm. xrandr Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1024 x 768, maximum 16384 x 16384 DVI-I-0 disconnected primary (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) VGA-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DVI-I-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) HDMI-0 connected 1024x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 1600mm x 900mm 1024x768 60.0*+ 800x600 60.3 720x480 59.9 60.1 640x480 59.9 59.9 Any thoughts on what the issue is?
