Hi, if u need ifconfig, u can build net-tools-1.60, instructions found in the blfs book. build it, but not do 'make install'. then copy the binary 'ifconfig' manually to /usr/bin or /usr/sbin.
if u want to, u can install all the tools, but it doesn't seem to be necessary. this worked for me fine, i needed it for hamachi and had no problems by this way. mfg Christian LK> Hi.
