Yes, like so many packages over the years we've usually installed something before we build it and the dependency is not obvious. I'm just glad that I'd omitted it so that the dep showed up before we release. > I don't know what you are using pavucontrol for, but it was added for xfce > (xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin) and libcanberra is recommended for xfce4-settings. > Ah, I seem to have missed that recommndation. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll check my deps re xfce4-settings because yes, I'll be building it for xfce. I did build xfce as it was a few days ago on a machine without any connected audio outputs. Now I want to do a more up-to-date build before I start the slooow upgrade of my laptop. > I'll add it. > > -- Bruce Thanks! ĸen > -- > http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev > FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html > Unsubscribe: See the above information page -- Juliet's version of cleanliness was next to godliness, which was to say it was erratic, past all understanding and was seldom seen. -- Unseen Academicals -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
