No. I use the .ini file exactly as proposed by the book. I've also checked all the places where I could find a log file (/var/log, ~/.local/share), and found no Gtk-WARNING. I've tried in a bare metal machine too (only gnome). I do not have GLIB_LOG_LEVEL set.
