Hi folks,

If any of you guys build lxml soon, be aware that the compilation time has substantially increased with Python 3.8 and Python-2.7.17. On my development system, the first file took close to five minutes to compile:

creating build/temp.linux-x86_64-3.8
creating build/temp.linux-x86_64-3.8/src
creating build/temp.linux-x86_64-3.8/src/lxml
gcc -pthread -Wno-unused-result -Wsign-compare -DNDEBUG -g -fwrapv -O3 -Wall -fPIC -DCYTHON_CLINE_IN_TRACEBACK=0 -I/usr/include/libxml2 -Isrc -Isrc/lxml/includes -I/usr/include/python3.8 -c src/lxml/etree.c -o build/temp.linux-x86_64-3.8/src/lxml/etree.o -w

After a few minutes though, that file does compile, and the rest slowly do as well. I'm not sure if it's worth investigating further though. I have noticed it on multiple machines now.
