Something seems a bit odd, indeed.  I got your (Bruce) 
message but Douglas's message does only appear in pipermail.
I'm subscribed with my lfs-account, and pull the messages
from higgs using fetchmail, so no gmail at all.

Btw, does higgs provide imap service?
