I've started work on a branch to change how we handle perl modules in the book, with help from Pierre to get the XML to a state where jhalfs can use it (thanks again).
The motivation is documented in #11123 i.e. http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/ticket/11123 I will be doing this intermittently, and (perhaps even more intermittently) merging the changes from trunk (svn merge - it seems to get worse each time). Latest versions of the rendered books are at http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/~ken/perl-changes/ For the moment, the module pages are split into: perl modules (new) perl dependencies (new) perl modules (old) The old page is retained for the moment so that I can easily look at it and paste from it. When all modules have been updated, it will go. Transitionally, links in the XML are getting new- prefixes where an existing link exists in the old modules page - but I expect most readers won't really care about that level of detail ;) The new modules page is for everything referenced from outside the perl-modules, the dependencies page is for those modules only referenced from other modules. And biber, although it is arguably a perl module (upstream in fact builds all the compressed dependencies into it, to be stand-alone), remains in the pst/typesetting part of the book. I'm hoping to get this working with ALL module dependencies referenced, because module dependencies seem to change over time. ĸen -- Also Spuke Zerothruster (Finnegans Wake) -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
