We are doing quite well working towards our 8.3 release. Here is a

Tickets can be viewed at

Packages that need to be updated:
chapter 13: gdb 8.1 8.1.1 #1098
This will be committed in a little bit, just waiting on completion of
one final pass of the test suite.
I'm concerned about apache, jdk, fop, apache-ant as they are all java
related. In the past, these have proven to be difficult to get the build
instructions accurate. I'm not opposed to just removing all references
to java from the book.
Refactor the java pages
junit 4.12 does not build with java 10
The last two have to do with java and should be integrated with the
packages above.
I intend to handle all of the java packages. The "refactor" ticket will
likely be postponed, however.
chapter 10: librsvg 2.42.2 2.42.7 #10477
I'm not sure about this one, I had thought it _needed_ to be updated for
Gnome, but I could certainly be wrong.
