I think it is intentional, but got them like that, didn't think much. Bruce perhaps can tell more. About Java, but OT: I am not working at the moment, so I would like to include in this post that I did a modification in OJDK, with explicit use of pt_BR, as an example. Tomorrow, I will edit the page to Include this observation in the text. One good/bad thing is that I needed to include "í" as a code, because in my keyboard it is not a character, but the combination `+i, got the example from Igor in the credits. Isn't this a good time to discuss again about UTF-8, now that we are doing many modifications in general?
