Thanks to a tip from William Irwin, Jacques Bouvier and I found an Eared Grebe
late this afternoon on the west side (reservoir) of the Carillon Power Dam at
Pointe Fortune (ON).  This molting grebe was found swimming along the berm
between the yellow buoys of the "Do not enter" zone at the dam and southward
towards the forest's edge of Voyageur Provincial Park.

Directions:

Drive east on highway 417 and just before entering Quebec, turn off at exit #
1, Pointe Fortune.  Turn right (north) onto Montée Interprovincial and drive
2.5 km.  At the end of the road, turn left (west}, and the Hydro Dam is
visible.  Continue on the paved road until you get up the hill.  There is room
to park on the berm.

GPS Coordinates are 45.563541, -74389400
