Hi everyone from the Brighton Constructed Wetlands, the wetlands will be open as of April 1st, 2010 any time to permit holders only, from dawn to dusk and 7 days a week, the only time the wetlands may be closed is when maintenance is being preformed, please note that this is done by the Municipality as a trial with the full intent of an annual Permit system if everything goes well, I know that all who attend the wetlands will review the rules, and will enjoy themselves.
To all of you thank you very much for the input and e-mails that helped to get the Permit system in place. The entrance to the wetland will remain the same as it has been in the past till I can get the person gate and gravel in place at the viewing station parking lot. I will have a latch on the main gate to clip and unclipped for the time being. Our address/911 number is 71. Permit can be downloaded from the Municipal website under the Wetlands or at the office at 67 Sharp Rd only. http://www.brighton.ca/uploads/file/2010BirdWatchingPermit.pdf Please carry the permit with you at all times, or you will be asked politely by me to leave, at. This time it is one permit per person there are no family passes Or Group permits at this time.
