Loon with sharply contrasting, black and white pattern on neck, dark black
back and white flanks was seen. Lacked eyering and beak seemed thinner
than nearby Common Loon. However did not have necklace pattern. Please
e-mail me privately if you can help with I.D.

Directions: From Ottawa travel west bound on Hwy. 417 to the March
Rd./Eagleson Road and exit right onto March Rd. Follow to Dunrobin Road and
turn right continuing northwest through Woodlawn. At the hill turn right
onto Constance Bay Rd. Bird seen in bay on right side of road, near spit
with several gulls about 40 feet out.
