Christian, I am observing the same thing. It happened today on my office machine, which is the only Apple Silicon machine I have and I wondered if that had something to do with it. Decided to try it on the Intel machine at home before I write and now I see it on my Intel MBP on BibDesk 1.8.10. Something got broken it seems.
