That sounds strange, as typing isn’t committed continuously, only when it is 
committed after typing. I have no idea what would slow it down in your case, it 
cannot be the typing. Perhaps you can take a sample using Activity Monitor 
while this is happening (select Bibdesk in AM, and hit View > Sample Process), 
and send it to me off list.
