Firstly, thanks to everyone who helped me out with the preview issue. Secondly, it seems that the vancouver.bst style is correctly handled by bibdesk. However, I noticed that in my latest bibliographies the authors field shows full surnames and names, whereas in my older record this is not the case (initials for the author’s name). My preview pane in bibdesk shows the surname and the initial of the first name, just as it is meant to be for the vancouver style, for bibliographies of any date. However, when exporting to LyX, the behaviour is erratic and I get exactly what is filled in the authors field, i.e. if I have a full name this will be what I see in the output. Can anyone explain this to me? PS, I have a non-corrupted or edited vancouver.bst file Dan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dive into the World of Parallel Programming The Go Parallel Website, sponsored by Intel and developed in partnership with Slashdot Media, is your hub for all things parallel software development, from weekly thought leadership blogs to news, videos, case studies, tutorials and more.
