I got the last nightly build (20120507) but it didn't fix my problem.
I ended up adding the same sorttitle for the 4 volumes in the bib file as
follows:
Sorttitle = {L'évangile selon saint Luc},
with biblatex then sorting according to year, the next best sorting mechanism.
