Since I work for a large research university, I have access to many databases (Web of Science, JSTOR, ProQuest, etc). However they are all accessed through our library's web site, and most then run through a proxy server authenticated via our campus Shibboleth system.
It would be nice to access some of these through BibDesk, but I don't even know where to start or even what questions to ask of my library. I browsed the BibDesk wiki, but didn't find anything that seemed to address this issue. Is this even possible? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
