Hi, I agree with Doeke. Here's a typical case of 'style over substance', where a simple to navigate list gets redesigned into a puzzle.
If we had 100s of links to navigate we could look at diagrams for design, but for 10 links I think we can do better (or keep the old). -Ton- -------------------------------------------------------- Ton Roosendaal - [email protected] - www.blender.org Chairman Blender Foundation, Producer Blender Institute/Studio Entrepotdok 57A - 1018AD Amsterdam - The Netherlands > On 31 Mar 2016, at 08:48, Doeke Wartena <[email protected]> wrote: > > if i compare the new one: > http://blender-manual.readthedocs.org/getting_started/ > > to the old one: > https://www.blender.org/manual/getting_started/index.html > > then the old one is so much easier to navigate for the eye. > I think it would be a step backward to use the new changes. > For the rest I didnt notice much difference really. > > 2016-03-30 22:35 GMT+02:00 Aaron Carlisle <[email protected]>: > >> Recently Tobias Heinke has been doing some edits to the Manual's CSS script >> to give it more of a visual appeal. >> I have set up a live version on the Read the Docs site [1] to get feedback >> and testing. >> The biggest change right know are how index pages look.
