Hi all,

Just in case anybody ever needs this, or has followed this thread to its end and wants to see the final result, I packaged up my BOEL replacement. Since it was meant to install Centos 7 it has the uninspiring and uninformative name "C7knl". It is on sourceforge here:

  https://sourceforge.net/projects/c7knl/

I'm not making any great claims about this, other than that it was able to replace BOEL in SystemImager for my purposes. Using that combination an image of Centos 7 was successfully installed onto 9 machines (simultaneously) after it partitioned their disks and set up xfs file systems.

There are some instructions included for rebuilding the initrd, kernel, and binaries.tar.gz file. Hopefully they are clear enough so that it shouldn't be too hard for others to start from this and modify it as needed.

Regards,
