What steps are generally taken to remove frequency scaling from a box? I'm curious if there's something above and beyond (from the linux side), more then echo'ing performance into the governors and disabling cpuspeed/kondemand
i did those and i see the freq locked in /proc/cpuinfo and /sys entries, but when i run cpufreq-aperf, it looks like the cpu's are still scaling (presumably voltage scaling). These are sandy bridge processors and I'm wondering if a trigger in the bios is only way to remove the scaling. any thoughts? _______________________________________________ Beowulf mailing list, [email protected] sponsored by Penguin Computing To change your subscription (digest mode or unsubscribe) visit http://www.beowulf.org/mailman/listinfo/beowulf
