I was initially sceptical when I had to do the same thing as I had bad experiences with shared addressing over the same interface... but with the gear over the last five years I've never had a problem with this except with the specific combination of FreeBSD and Dell boxes. The problem lied on the FreeBSD side.
In the Sun world, at least, the host LAN and the IPMI interface have different MAC addresses even though they share the same physical interface. Just keep in mind that you need to route multiple networks and the rest should not present a problem. -geoff -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Matt Lawrence Sent: Montag, 12. This is my first experience at setting up and using the Dell Baseboard Management Controller. Power should be installed next week, so this is going to be a very busy week trying to get ready. Any suggestions, words of wisdom or web pointers would be appreciated. -- Matt It's not what I know that counts. It's what I can remember in time to use. _______________________________________________ Beowulf mailing list, Beowulf@beowulf.org To change your subscription (digest mode or unsubscribe) visit http://www.beowulf.org/mailman/listinfo/beowulf _______________________________________________ Beowulf mailing list, Beowulf@beowulf.org To change your subscription (digest mode or unsubscribe) visit http://www.beowulf.org/mailman/listinfo/beowulf
