Dear MPI Mavens,

What is the current state of the art for MPI (or PVM or other parallel
code) debuggers? I vaguely recall some review articles on this on CWM
and/or CM, and of course there has been list discussion in the past, but
a quick summary would be very useful.

I accept your offer.

Anybody care to recommend a parallel debugger?
This would be for multiple instances of a single executable
talking to each other via MPI or the ewquivalent thereof.

Wrong list. Ask on the beowulf list. Or would you like me to ask for
you?

(There may be people who no AN answer here, or even two, but the beowulf
list is likely to get you all possible answers with fairly extensive
commentary.)

A nontrivial problem, by the way. But you know that...;-)

I can also ask a few of my friends who are certified MPI experts (wrote
the Cluster World Magazine MPI column, for example) if the beowulf list
doesn't stimulate a response from them more directly.
