GAMMA seems to be stable these days. We have run succesfully with a version two versions before the current one. Before that there were indeed problems but they seem to have been fixed. Could be interesting to ask the author of GAMMA to see why he didn't use netpoll/mmap_ring (no idea what they are I'm afraid) and whether it would be useful.
