This sounds to me like hardware problems. What does your physical
actually, I suspect the MAC here is Msg Auth Code, not Media Access Control.
I think I've heard of this sort of ssh problem occurring when
your network path is unclean - like a router trying to be too smart,
modifying tcp header fields, etc.
