Hi Rafael, We have tried to support build with llvm git master, but there are now a lots of changes about OpenCL in clang and we could not follow all of the changes. And some of the changes in LLVM will make terrible regression on beignet and we prefer to debug on some features stable llvm versions. Since LLVM 3.9 is now on RC1, we would try to build with llvm3.9 to find if there are any bugs with it.
Thanks Xiuli From: Beignet [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Rafael Ristovski Sent: Thursday, July 21, 2016 1:23 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Beignet] intel-beignet: LLVM 3.9.0 Hello, It seems to me that beignet is always using the stable version of llvm thus compiling on llvm 3.8+ fails.Could anyone give any insight into this? Even the git repo still uses a git-wise "outdated" LLVM version (Ex.: mesa-git always compiles with llvm-git). It just seems that the internal llvm bindings inside beignet aren't being updated to support up-to-date versions of LLVM. Thank you, Rafael
