I have installed perl 8 on redhat 9 and I installed it from source. (not an rpm) however, when I did a redhat up2date, the rpm's were then re-installed.
I think that the rpm installed perl in /usr/bin and the source install put it in /usr/local/bin
can I safely uninstall the perl rpm's without messing up the other installation from source?
Thanks
Rick
