I am running RedHAT Linux 8.0 with the BlueCurve Gnome
Desktop (default RH 8.0). I am having trouble
installing some perl modules. My installation is the
default so I am probably not the only one using RH 8.0
with this sorta problem.
Tk, and Tk::JPEG. I tried both by using cpan
and by downloading the source and trying to build it
WHILE RUNNING GNOME and X WINDOWS. I realize not
running X can cause errors when trying to install
these.
A truncated part of my error messages when I try to
"make" Tk is below:

I get the same sort of thing when I try to install it
using CPAN.

make NI-S/Tk-800.024.tar.gz
This is also frustrating because I want to use a
program called boxconf but when I try to run it I get
the following errors
