I own "Learning Perl/Tk" and have fiddled around with Perl/Tk and
various other Perl GUI toolkits over the years:
http://press.oreilly.com/pub/pr/872
http://www.prima.eu.org/
http://perl-win32-gui.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/docs.cgi
http://www.wxwidgets.org/
None has ever fully satisfied my desires. If I were to do it again, I'd
also look at Perl/Gtk:
http://gtk2-perl.sourceforge.net/
Briefly searching for "perl gui toolkits" turned up some useful pages:
http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.beginners/2008/02/msg98826.html
http://www.atai.org/guitool/
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Perl_Programming/GUI_Programming
I've observed that Perl has never been a popular choice for GUI
applications. I won't attempt to explain why.
A wish-list project for myself is to clean up my Bash/ Perl/ ssh/ tar/
rsync backup scripts and build a UI. I want to keep it as simple as
possible. My current plan is to use Apache, Perl, and CGI.

David
