I have a new Pocket Beagle which I am trying to connect to a Mac via USB.

I have the latest image: bone-debian-10.3-iot-armhf-2020-04-06-4gb.img
The Pocket Beagle appears as a USB drive on the Mac.
The Pocket Beagle works as expected on a Windows machine;
http://192.168.7.2:3000 brings up Cloud9. (at least this proves the USB
cable is good)
I have a Beagle Board Black that connects to the Mac via USB and works as
expected. http://beagleboard.local brings up Cloud9. When I look at
ifconfig, I can see the BBB attached as en7 with IP 192.168.6.1. (this
would seem to rule out any problems on the Mac.)

However, when I connect the Pocket Beagle, I do not see a network interface
being created; there are no new entries under ifconfig as there are when
the BBB is connected.

At this point I have to suspect there is something subtly wrong in the
Debian image that allows the BBB to work but not the Pocket Beagle.

Has anyone actually successfully connected a Pocket Beagle to a Mac?

Any ideas on what I am missing?

Thank you,
Steve
