here's what happens when I use your .dts file:

root@beaglebone:~# export SLOTS=/sys/devices/bone_capemgr.*/slots
root@beaglebone:~# echo BB-BONE-AUDI-02 > $SLOTS
-bash: echo: write error: Invalid argument

and when I use the one linked to in the instructions (
http://elinux.org/images/1/10/BB-BONE-AUDI-02-00A0.zip) - yes I extracted
the file from the zip archive first...):

root@beaglebone:~# export SLOTS=/sys/devices/bone_capemgr.*/slots
root@beaglebone:~# echo BB-BONE-AUDI-02 > $SLOTS

(no errors)
