Mine worked fine with the base image from Angstrom if I booted off of an SD card. However, a big however, I was using the Beagleboard Toys cape ( http://beagleboardtoys.info/index.php?title=BeagleBone_3.1MP_Camera) not the radiumboards cape. I suspect there may be a driver problem relative to the radium boards version.
