That sound like a great idea. I do not think my current host offers ssh/telnet access, the info is still very useful though I can use the info elsewhere.

Would MacFUSE work when the shell is set to 'scponly'? (It's supposed to support sftp and rsync in addition to scp, so....)

I think MacFUSE's sshfs uses SFTP, not scp, but you could check the code fairly easily.
