Thanks for the tip. I haven't tried this yet because some distractions
came up and I can't work on the program, but this sounds like it could
be it. The resizing works with graphics that were exported from Adobe
Illustrator or Visio, but not if you just start a new document with
Inkscape and save it. I don't think Inkscape uses a viewport, but I'll
try adding one manually.
