Hi,
I've spent numerous hours at google and browsing this mailinglist but
haven't found any suggestions or solutions to my problem, I hope that
there is someone out here that can enlighten me about what I'm doing
wrong or simply give me a headshot letting me know that what I want to
do is not possible.
We're currently running bacula 2.2.7 on Slackware 12.0.0, we have a
large amount of clients and is adding, removing clients on a regular
basis. Some of our clients are taking forever doing their fullbackup,
sometimes up to a week which is the problem. I can't find a way to add a
new client without restarting bacula.
The setup we got now we're creating a storage deamon for each client,
restarting bacula reloads the storage deamon and creates everything that
is needed and what I've learned so far this is the only way of reloading
the storage deamon. I'm now trying to work around this so that we can
add new clients and take backup of those without restarting the storage
deamon.
My idle config is as follows:
We're running a storage deamon on one of our NAS servers, each client
has it's own pool and sets of volumes (6 volumes, rotates on 21 days)
and all volumes are stored in /var/bacula/*volumename*
When using a single Storage for all clients I've notived that all
clients gets the same Pool and I've read about this and understood that
I need to create a Storage {} for each client, but when I do this I
can't get the client to work without restarting bacula.
Jobs waiting to reserve a drive:
3609 JobId=13 wants Pool="spamfix4.infracom.se-Pool" but has
Pool="srv02.weblabbet.se-Pool" on drive "FileStorage" (/var/bacula/).
Any suggestions, thoughts or advices would be most thankfull.
Kind Regards
Mattias Twedmark
