Open bconsole. Type query then enter 16.

I would consider that bacula is a little too quick to judge a tape as
old but that is my opinion. If anything shows up the mounts are
probably the best number. I would compare this number to the tape
manufacturer claims for the read/write/erase cycles. I have seen some
claim a few hundred to others claiming as much as 10,000.
