I have been working with Bacula 2.0.3 on Fedora Core 3 and decided to
try upgrading to 2.2.5. I previously used the SRPM to build RPMs for
FC3 and had no problems.

However, it seems that the use of PQescapeStringConn means that recent
releases of
Bacula won't compile on FC3 with the FC3 PostgreSQL installation.
As far as I can tell this function was introduced in PostgreSQL 7.4.13,
but the official updates for FC3 stopped at 7.4.11.

I notice that the spec file in the SRPM uses --disable-batch-insert
for FC3. If I am using
my own PostgreSQL 8.2.5 installation compiled with --enable-thread-safety,
can I configure with batch insert enabled?
