Hi,

I have an old install of bacula

Version: 1.34.6 (28 July 2004) i686-redhat-linux-gnu redhat (Stenz)

and I have a an old tape that has been purged and deleted from the catalog.
I want to restore the files and I have been running into the same problem
with bscan or bls. I get the following error.

Volume data error at 0:1! Wanted block-id: "BB02", got "". Buffer discarded

I found the section in the online manual that addresses this problem and it
appears that there is no hope since the tape was written by a version prior
to 1.35.5.

Am I totally hosed or is there a work around?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

James
