For the life of me, I don't understand what is wrong. I am attempting
to build bacula-1.38.11-3.src.rpm on a freshly installed Red Hat EL4
box. I have left the bacula.spec file untouched, and attempt to build
with:
rpmbuild -ba --define "build_rhel4 1" \
--define "build_mysql4 1" \
--define "gconsole 0" \
bacula.spec
I added the gconsole stuff because the build blows up trying to build
gconsole, and I don't want it anyway. But it *still* blows up on it
even though I *think* I have told it with that define not to build it:
Processing files: bacula-gconsole-1.38.11-3
error: File not found: /var/tmp/bacula-root/usr/sbin/gnome-console
error: File not found:
/var/tmp/bacula-root/etc/bacula/gnome-console.conf
Processing files: bacula-debuginfo-1.38.11-3
Requires(rpmlib): rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1
rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1
RPM build errors:
File not found: /var/tmp/bacula-root/usr/sbin/gnome-console
File not found: /var/tmp/bacula-root/etc/bacula/gnome-console.conf
If --define "gconsole 0" isn't the switch to build it without gconsole,
what is?
Thanks. I'm going to go slash my wrists now.
